Seabrook, TX

The small city of Seabrook Texas (77586) is the epitome of upscale coastal living in the area (Seabrook Island along with it’s neighbor, Taylor Lake Village, boasts some of the most expensive homes in the area) known for its yacht clubs and marinas. The city of 11,000 is nestled around prime waterfront surroundings just east of Johnson Space Center and was founded in 1895. Seabrook sports some of the best recreation facilities in the area, including miles of hike and bike trails, country clubs, fitness centers, and parks (including a skateboard and rollerblade facility).  Old Seabrook boasts a collection of historic buildings, antiques, speciality shops and restaurants many on the waterfront serving just caught seafood.

Seabrook is also known for almost endless recreational activities including music festivals, wine tastings, regattas, car and boat shows, outdoor markets many year round such as the Keels and Wheels Concourse d’Elagance, Fourth of July activities, and the Christmas boat parades.

Seabrook is known for its hometown feel with friendly neighbors and quiet streets containing single-family homes, waterfront homes, modern apartments, patio homes, and condominiums.  It is also a very environmentally-conscious community with numerous wildlife and 159 species of birds living in the area.  Virgin marshlands and hidden lagoons are attractive breeding grounds and nesting places for many of these birds.  Seabrook residents try to maintain a perfect balance between civilization and nature.
