Clear Lake Shores Texas (77565) is a small 1,400 resident island community – established in 1927, and incorporated in 1962, known as the “Yachting Capital of Texas”. It is well situated for water activities being on the shores of Clear Lake/Clear Creek on the southeastern side of Clear Lake at the entrance to Jarboe Bayou and West of highway 146. The city contains a shore line drive that circumnavigates the island providing a great view of clear lake. It has four major marinas one of which has 1300 boat slips and is one of the largest privately owned marinas in the country. Clear Lake Shores is known for providing a small-town lifestyle nestled amid big-city conveniences. It has a blend of turn-of-the-century cottages used for weekend getaways and modern homes for full-time residents. Residents typically travel around by golf cart enjoying the many community events throughout the year such as Jammin’ on Jarboe, Children’s Fishing Derbies, parades, holiday functions, and community dinners at one of the city’s beautiful parks.
